Groundwater Remediation with Advanced Oxidation

The advanced oxidation process is a technology for the remediation groundwater affected with Benzene-toluene-ethylbenzene-xylenes (BTEX), methyl tert-butyl ether (MtBE), TPH-g, tert-butyl formate (TBF), tert-butyl alcohol (TBA), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), diisopropyl ether (DIPE), polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), trimethylbenzene, 1,4-dioxane, trichloroethylene (TCE), perchloroethylene (PCE), 1,2-dichloroethene (1,2-DCE), 1,1-dichloroethene (1,1-DCE), vinyl chloride, and tetrahydrofuran.

Feasibility Study, Remediation of Oxygenate Impacted Groundwater, Retail Gas Station, California

Advanced Oxidation of MTBE
A gas station located in Southern California had contaminated the groundwater with oxygenates.  The client was in need to contain plume of MTBE and TBA, which was migrating to an environmentally sensitive area. A feasibility study evaluating nine remediation scenarios was conducted to identify the best remediation option. Continue reading
