Remediation of a Former Marine Terminal, Southern California

Dig and Haul Projects After a marine terminal was demolished, several site assessments revealed that soil and groundwater at the site were affected with petroleum hydrocarbons and lead. An interim remedial action plan (IRAP), a remedial action plan (RAP), and a sampling and analysis plan (SAP) were prepared and implemented to protect harbor water, and remediate the site.

When seven production wells operated by a Southern California water purveyor reported concentrations of hexavalent chromium and perchlorate above regulatory limits for drinking water, a multiagency effort was conducted to identify the sources.

Site Closure Plan and Closure Strategy and Regulatory Support, Former Aerospace Site, Southern California

A soil vapor extraction system located at former aerospace site in Southern California had operated for a number of years. The client requested a strategy to obtain regulatory site closure. In response, a site closure plan was prepared outlining a schedule and a list of technical and administrative requirements to support site closure. The closure plan also listed methods and procedures to demonstrate that site-specific cleanup concentrations were protective of human health and groundwater.
